Certification


All members and applicants for membership must meet and maintain the membership criteria established by CIMC By-Laws , subject to certification every two years.

Membership Eligibility and Application Requirements ( CIMC By-Laws , Article V, Section 2.A and B)

1. Federally-recognized American Indian Tribes, Reservations, Rancherias, Bands and Colonies

2. Terminated Rancherias, American Indian Groups, Entities, and Organizations

3. Indian Organizations with Unique Organizational Structures (see CIMC By-Laws , Article V, Section 2, C)

 

All delegates and alternate delegates must be American Indian (see CIMC By-Laws , Article V, Section 4, C) , may not be a WIA participant or CIMC administrative staff, and may only represent one member.

For the purpose of voting at the CIMC Annual Membership Meeting , original application documents must be postmarked by June 30 of each year. All initial documentation submitted by June 30 must be complete no later than the last business day in August of that year in order for a member to be eligible to vote at the annual membership meeting.
